Overweight After Bulimia

millefiori

Dear friends it is time to extract the precious essence of the flower of the chestnut tree, through the stages of honey extraction of combs that our bees have filled in these two summer months. The crop promises to be tight, but good quality and the procedure requires:

Thursday 23 - installation of apiscampo (to release the bees from the supers)
Friday 24 - recovery of the supers and transport to the laboratory
Saturday 25 - chestnut honey extraction and to follow the wildflower
Sunday 26 - continues to be sickly sweet and then we celebrate!
Monday 27 - Resetting the honeycombs by the bees to clean up and repair the damage done to cells dall'apicoltore geometrically perfect.

are the four days of honey, without work and sacrifice but it brings joy to us small beekeepers who collect the painstaking work of thousands of bees that have traveled far and wide chestnut and Rust Gemola the mountain in search of fragrant inflorescences.
Of note also new to the wildflower: thanks to the work of Elisa and her father Maurice, who have labored to plant 500 seedlings of lavender, we can say that the mixture of nectar will be appreciably the juice of this fragrant shrub. Of course there are also other plants in the wildflower and grasses such as: sunflower, alfalfa, clover, mint, oregano, basil, borage, jujube, etc..
If you want to taste you have to wait a month, during which the honey is parked in large steel containers to mature.
A jar of honey contains a lot of work on the wall of these precious insects, but also by bee-keepers!
Now I go to bed! Good night and good summer!

PS in the photo you see the flowering of chestnut trees on Mount Gemola Villa Beatrice in Baone, against the backdrop of Mount Rust.
