was a bit 'that I did not live, because of many commitments and various New among them was my marriage to Elisa. Bees are always in place and now we are preparing to put them in prime condition for the winter. Soon we will
treatments with oxalic acid against Varroa, and then we will provide a diet based on glucose to ensure the stocks during the coming winter.
So in this moment of pause on the bees, we are preparing to become beekeepers increasingly knowledgeable and informed about the honey through the course in sensory analysis.
For four Saturdays in November we be in Este (PD) for a course that is organized by APA in collaboration with Pad Coldiretti of Padua and Bologna CRA-API.
In these days of study will enhance our sensory capacity to the national typical honey, and learn to recognize the merits and defects, so that we can improve our small but precious productions.
Of note for the new production in 2011, the sowing of oilseed rape in our lands, which will allow us to collect between March and April this interesting nectar that will complement those of Apis Amica historians, such as chestnut, honeydew, and the wildflowers acacia.
Yes, because as they say the old bee "bee season the future is prepared only during the winter and abundant winter there will be a great production" ... weather permitting!
Speaking of weather, I would like to express our solidarity with all those affected by the flood that affected Italy in recent days and in particular the low Padua and Vicenza. I hope that the waters 'rebels' return to their natural beds, and that men and women of these troubled lands are to be helped in overcoming this situation.
